Build menus for fabricators, factories and commanders take seconds to appear and generally feels laggy.

Limiting the number of rendering processes may help. To do so, add --coherent-options="--renderer-process-limit=16" to the launch parameters. Try a few different numbers than 16 to optimize for your computer.
If that doesn't help try the parameter --software-ui instead.
