The latest drivers for Intel can be downloaded from downloadcenter.intel.com. For desktop and come laptops the easiest way to download the latest is to click on "Automatically update your drivers". If that doesn't work, proceed with the next section.

Automatic updating may not work if your Intel card is old or if you are using a laptop for which the manufacturer provides their own driver. Drivers from manufacturers (such as Dell, HP, etc.) usually provide drivers that are several years old, which is fine for daily use, but not fine when you are trying to play games that push the graphics card to its limits, such as PA.

In that case, use the "Search downloads" option on Intel's website. For example, if your CPU is an i7-3632QM, type in the model number 3632QM and the search box will autocomplete. In the next page filter by "Drivers" and your Operating System (beware of the choice between 32-bit and 64-bit). The latest drivers will usually be the newest, but check the date to be sure.

On the page for the driver, two version will be available. A .exe and a .zip. Try downloading the .exe first and install that. In the case of laptops you may encounter an error about the driver not being validated for your computer. In that case, proceed with the next section.

You need to download the .zip instead. Then open File Explorer and go to View -> Options. Select the View tab and deselect "Hide extensions for known file types".

Deselect the check box in front of "Hide extensions for known file types".

Extract the ZIP file you've downloaded by right clicking on it and selecting "Extract All...". A new folder will be created with drivers inside of it.

To install the drivers, close any other open application. In the File Explorer right click on "This PC" or "My computer" and choose "Properties...". Then select "Device Manager". Expand the "Display adapters" by clicking on the chevron in front of it.

The Device manager shows all of the peripherals on your computer. In your case, you should see an Intel graphics adapter

Right click the Intel adapter and select "Properties". Selected the tab "Driver" and click on the button "Update Driver...". This will open a new window. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software" and then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". This will again open a new window.

After clicking "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" you should be presented with this screen.

Here you should click on "Have Disk..." and then press "Browse...". Navigate to wherever you unzipped the driver and locate the "Graphics" subdirectory. Inside that, there should be a file called "igdlh64.inf" (or "igdlh32.inf" if you have a have a 32-bit version of Windows.). Double click that file and press "Ok". You will return to the screen above but with new hardware listed. Click "Next" to install and then "Close". Your new driver has now been installed. Reboot the computer.

If you wish, you can undo the hiding of extensions for known file types now.
